The Excalibur Colonial Starship

This is a rendition of the starship featured in my Al Clark Series. I created a number of variations, although this is probably my favorite. This is the ship Al wakes up on, with no idea how he got there or why. What’s worse, he cannot remember his name.

Alien Invasion

Life as we know it will change.

We don’t know when they are coming.

We don’t know if they are already here.

We don’t know where they will come from.

We don’t know if they come to conquer or save.

When they get here we will know.

Alien Conquest

I thought something to invoke a smile would be appropriate for a Monday.

Not that I mind Mondays – I’m retired, so they’re all the same to me. It’s the ones trying to work their way through another start to the week I’m thinking of.

Not all invasions go as planned. Time for plan B.

Al Clark-Earth (Book Four)

At last, the first draft of the newest addition to the Al Clark Series is complete. I struggled toward the end, but persevered. No good story will allow me to quit. Now begins the task of proofreading before sending it out to be edited. This is the fun part. The story is recorded. That is what counts.

The End is Near

I am writing the final chapter of Al Clark-Earth (Book Four), which brings me great joy. Finally, the truth about Al’s origins will be revealed. Soon, I will begin the editing process, which I find both arduous and fulfilling. As soon as I write ‘The End’ on the first draft, I will arrange for the cover to be created. This is the point where writing becomes fun.

Spaceport

My post for today is an early drawing I created on a paper plate. There are many varieties of spaceports, this one requires a spacesuit and gravity boots.

One Wheel Battle Pod

The Future of War:

Unfortunately, we, as a race, will not stop inventing new wars. Even after relocating to other worlds, there will be a need for war machines. This concept combines high mobility with deadly fire power.

Created with cut paper and markers for a simulated 3D effect.

Alien Life

Somewhere in the universe there is another planet with life. Although it may not be animal life, it is life in preparation of creatures that crawl, walk, and stand . This oil painting is my interpretation of plant life on another world – patiently waiting for the people that will abuse or adapt them for their own purposes.

Starship One

Have you ever dreamed of building your own spacecraft? I’ll bet you have. Although this version lacks the streamlined stainless steel construction and crew abort module, the ride would be one to remember. Powered by Bottle Rockets. (Ink and Markers)

This is an illustration created for childrens’ rooms.

Space Ship 2

After travelling for months, a navigational error has thrown this poor soul off course. When she manages to land on a desolate, rocky world, she stops to pray to the universe for directions. Will she find her way home, and if she does – will it still be there?

This is part of a set of space ships created with cut-paper resembling rock and steel, and a touch of markers.
