Another Milestone in Writing

I have received the proof copy of the fourth book in my AL CLARK Series and approved it for publication. That makes all four books in the series available in eBook or Paperback format, and I’m thoroughly pleased with myself.

This makes five books if you include my SciFi Adventure – VINCENT. All I need is another fifteen books to call myself an author 🙂

Two Bird Bird Nest

My sister and brother-in-law love to watch the birds. They have a courtyard with bird feeders and flowering plants all about. When I see them sitting in their comfortable chairs on this patio, I think they are the birds, and their personal piece of paradise is the nest.

The Excalibur Colonial Starship

This is a rendition of the starship featured in my Al Clark Series. I created a number of variations, although this is probably my favorite. This is the ship Al wakes up on, with no idea how he got there or why. What’s worse, he cannot remember his name.

Country Tree Swing

I apologize for not posting much in the last few days. I have been focusing my efforts on completing book six in my Al Clark Series. I thought I would post this version of a tree swing done in oil paint. This was during my Bob Ross phase.

Finished Picture Frame

When I am not writing, I like to work on various projects. This is the latest.

I posted earlier about a frame I made for one of my daughters paintings. After some thought and a few opinions I opted to match the frame with the background of the piece.

Normally, I shy away from covering new wood with paint. It this case, I varied from the norm. Everything else left the painting wanting. I wanted to see if I could make an inexpensive frame that complimented the work, and I believe I succeeded.

Elephant in the Bush

I imagine elephants are practicing more stealth these days, even though it’s hard for an elephant to hide. The next time you are in the jungle, and there are wild elephants around, look deep into the bushes. That is where they like to hide…. and when you shoot them…. use a camera.

The Lite-It-Up Project

It was a simple concept. A 4 inch block of wood with a large bole drilled in the bottom for an LED circuit board and four 1/4 inch holes drilled through the top. Acrylic rods dispersed the lite.

The 2 inch circuit board included 4 high output LEDs, a fuse, and a cord that plugged into a 120v outlet. The current draw is so low there is no heat generated, allowing the night-lite to remain plugged in at all times. (No batteries to change, and lasts for years.)

In the beginning we used acrylic rods to ‘Light things up.’
