My Latest HotWheels Creation (March 3-2026)

This is a HotWheels Mazda MX-5 I have turned to gold. Without glue or modifying the base I have removed the rivets and replaced them with 1/8″ machine screws. I then stripped the car of paint, polished the body and repainted it, along with the base, using a candy orange model paint with an airbrush. The wheels were replaced with 4-spoke Gold Chrome wheels with rubber tires. To complete the remodel, I repainted and detailed the interior.

I love cars and taking a good miniature to make it better gives me great satisfaction. Some collectors would give me grief for opening a collectable car, but I can’t seem to help myself. Call me crazy, I do not care.

My Latest Passion (Tiny Cars)

For the past year or so, I have spent some of my time collecting and customizing 1/64 scale diecast vehicles. The detailing on some of these cars and trucks available can rival the full sized vehicles. Here are some of the vehicles I have dedicated some of my time to improving.

This is a small sample of my accomplishments. I have maybe been bitten by the collectors bug, and a large portion are still in the package. At last count, the number of Hotwheels, Matchbox, Majorette, and others have surpassed 900. I keep telling myself to slow down, but bargain hunting has become a part of my life. I no longer have control over my passion.
